It is fine white porcelain made by Springer & Co. stamped Epiag. Made in Czechoslovakia between 1918-1989- the first republic era, labeled Laura, LO359. The cup inside is 24K gold. The outside is trimmed in gold with a light purple and gold narrow border around and a gold ear. Absolutely beautiful and a never used antique.

The Czech Center Museum Houston held our annual St. Nicholas Celebration this past Tuesday, December 6! It was a magical evening filled with delicious food, wonderful music, an inspiring award ceremony and best of all…a visit from St. Nicholas! His lovely assistants- the angel (anděl) and the devil (čert) were by his side while he passed our bags of treats to all the good little boys and girls at the Czech Center Museum Houston!

Bob Suttie of the Texas Czech Legacy Band and his two very talented songs Charie and Robby provided wonderful entertainment throughout the evening.

St. Nicholas and the charming angel and devil annually visit the Czech Center Museum Houston for 17 years now. Don’t miss them Tuesday evening, December 6th in Brno Gallery as they welcome you for a fun evening and a delicious dinner in Prague Hall from 6:30 to 8:30pm. The event includes the holiday’s traditions as well as a concert on strings by two handsome young brothers. All ages are invited and you should certainly bring some children.
