Velvet Revolution Celebration

Join us for our Velvet Revolution Celebration on November 17, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a program  regarding the ten most eventful days that fell between November 17th and 27th, 1989 when on that first day, a peaceful student demonstration to commemorate International Students Day ended in violence. From that revolution forty-three years of communism had finally came to an end and one of the most important developments was the establishment of the Civic Forum by Vaclav Havel– the country’s first President of the Second Republic
