Founded in 1995, the Czech Center Museum Houston is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational, cultural arts organization, one of Houston’s nineteen fine museums located in the Museum District. The Center’s mission is to preserve, record, and celebrate the language, scholarship and arts of Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia and Slovakia. We enlighten the general community by exposing visitors to the rich cultural heritage of the Slavic community revealing shared histories and heritage, providing space where different ethnicities come together to enjoy learning about our diversity, becoming a world citizen and a member of our Civil Society.

In permanent and changing exhibitions, the Center has a unique collection of paintings, artifacts, photography and sculpture, porcelain and crystal, samples of folk art and antique furniture. The center also hosts concerts, exhibits, lectures, symposiums and other public and private events.
