Here is what’s Happening at the Czech Center Museum Houston.

Our friends and members are our greatest treasure, but of course we are always looking to meet new and interesting people from all over the world. We hope you can join us.

  • October 26, 2013 – 3rd Annual Czech OktoberFest and Fall Bazaar. One of our newer traditions here at the CCMH, has quickly become our most popular. Featuring three hours of live folk, polka, waltzes and a milieu of other music by Bob Suttie’s Texas Legacy Czech Band for listening and dancing. There will also be Wine or Beer Tastings, a Czech Schnitzel (řízek) and Sausage (klobáse) Buffet Dinner. $40.00 Admission includes all the above in a History and Heritage Palace. Complimentary valet parking.

Please RSVP no later than October 21, 2013. We plan to fill up fast!

  • December 6, 2013 – St. Nicholas Eve Holiday Celebration. A beloved Czech-European holiday brought over to be enjoyed by newer generations. Suitable for all ages. St. Nicholas Eve honors the original Bishop Nicholas from Patara (present day Demre, Turkey) who gave his wealth to those in need, especially children. Our beautiful Baroque Palace, architecture of the 1600 – 1800s, is transformed into a Christmas jewel that must be enjoyed to believe. Enjoy traditional Christmas cuisine amongst great people, good music and fun.

Reservation details will be available soon.

  • Everyday – We are open 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday thru Saturday and give docent led tours on three floors of art, folk-art, pottery, crystal, exhibits and history. At $6 per person ($3 for children under 10) we are definitely the most affordable attraction in the City of Houston and our Metroplex. Entry to our Prague International Gifts Shop is free. You will find beautiful antique, vintage and contemporary gifts of crystal, porcelain, ceramics, toys, jewelry, Christmas ornaments, books and more.

Tour, Lecture and Luncheon Packages are available for groups. Enjoy local food and a glass of wine underneath our Crystal Chandeliers in Prague Hall after enjoying an educational tour and hearing a Live Lecture spoken by our Founder and Chairman/CEO – Effie M. Rosene. Please contact us for more details.

Our halls are unique rental venues for any kind of event. Make any occasion memorable by hosting your wedding, banquet, birthday, bar and bat mitzvah, graduation, convention or business meeting  here in Houston’s authentic Baroque Palace – architecture of the 1600’s – 1800’s!
